Zoo Eberswalde

The zoological garden Eberswalde is a zoo with more than 1,500 animals from different continents. There is a lot to discover in this zoo – whether the lion´s enclosure, monkey circus, wolfs and bears, icy glacier landscape, zoo school for children or holiday fun. You can even get married there!

Waterpark “baff”

Sports pool, non-swimmers pool, fun pool, baby pool, outdoor pools and whirlpools, sauna – the waterpark baff has a lot to offer. The waterpark with a water temperature of at least 28°C (baby pool 34°C) is an attraction for swimming and relaxing especially during the cold season.

Oder-Havel cycle route

This approx. 60 km cycle route leads along the Finow canal from Oder to Havel and guides through beautiful forest and lake areas on a very-well developed route. A welcomed break can be taken in Eberswalde in our Family-Garden.

Eberswalde high altitude pass

The Eberswalde high altitude pass combines four highlights of a special kind: the two industrial monuments Water Tower and the “Eber” crane in the Family Gardenas well as the Maria-Magdalena-Church and the Tiger Tower in the Zoo.

Museum Eberswalde

The Eberswalde Museum showcases regional and city history in the city’s oldest half-timbered building, the Adler Pharmacy, since 1997. It features permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and guided tours.

Forest Botanical Garden

The Forest Botanical Garden, established in 1830 as one of Europe’s first botanical gardens, offers many seating areas for relaxation. Events like “Balkan Rhythms – Come and Dance,” “Summer Dreams for Seven Evenings,” and “Enjoying Wild Plants” add variety and provide educational experiences about the garden’s greenery.

Exploration of the Finow canal

At the Family-Garden Eberswalde you can land quickly and easily with your motor boat on the pier or with a canoe on a pier of a small side arm. Visit the garden and continue your trip on the water afterwards.

Finow Water Tower

The Finow Water Tower, an architectural landmark designed by Paul Mebes and built in 1917/1918, offers panoramic views of the Märkische Heide, lakes, and forests. The Berlin TV tower is visible in favorable weather. Known for its brick expressionism with Gothic elements, it was a pioneering structure in Germany at the time.
